1. What did you do in 2003 that you’d never done before?

Meet up with internet people. I just became addicted to it and kept on doing it.

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Many years ago I resolved never to make any more New Years Resolutions. I feel quite proud that this is one I’ve kept.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Nope.

5. What countries did you visit?

France and Scotland.

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?

Good exam results.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Early morning 31st August. Because it was just bloody surreal.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Haven’t really acheived anything much. I’ll go for passing Chemistry, which to be fair, I didn’t really deserve to do.

9. What was your biggest failure?

The D in biology. It’s just simple learning. It should have been higher. That said, I’ll do worse in this resit if I don’t start learning soon.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Usual array of colds and sniffles. Nothing major on the illness front or on the injury one.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Train tickets to Oxford and Surrey.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

Er...um. Dunno. Lots of people were really nice. Cannot think of anyone who has behaved in an outstandingly awesome way. I’ll go for [ LJ User: malachan ] because seriously, no one else can organise a t00bage that well.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?

I make myself depressed but the behavior of some people did appall me.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Train tickets. T00bages.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Punt!t00b. And it proved itself worthy. It was awesome fun and I met Sofie as well as Simon and Hana again.

16. What song will always remind you of 2003?

Elaine Paige and Barbera Dixon. I know him so well. The lyrics have occured to me a lot over the year and have been appropriate each time.
Men. You’re a bunch of bastards. Sorry.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?

I am equally indifferent. Possibly sadder as I didn’t do any shows this end of the year and so do not feel proud. Also haven’t been going to the gym as much due to illness. But largely indifferent.

Thinner.

iii. richer or poorer?

Much poorer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

Revision.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

Chatting online. Oh, I loved almost every minute of it, but I really should have done less of it.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

At my gran’s. Should be fairly fun. This is the sane grandparent.

22. Did you fall in love in 2003?

Not really. I fell in love seven years ago and it’s only now trying to work itself out of my system before I go to University or before he does. How pathetic is that?

23. How many one night stands?

None.

24. What was your favourite TV programme?

Have I got news for you. Still teh funniest ever. 348

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

Nah. Hate would be an unproductive use of my time. Instead, I am indifferent to more people because I know more people. And there are some people who I like but who irritate me a lot.

26. What was the best book you read?

So many awesome book. Erm...will say three books. 1. The Lake of Dead Languages by Carol Goodman because it’s chilling. 2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling for its promise of things to come. and 3. Ship of Magic by Robyn Hobb because it had tears streaming down my face in the first couple of chapters.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Didn’t discover no music.

28. What did you want and get?

Er...nothing in particular. I suppose I wanted to go to Oxford just to watch fandom happen. I got that and I also joined in a surprising amount which was awesome. Am also in a position where I could quite easily leave fandom. I wanted that so much sometimes.

29. What did you want and not get?

Nothing in particular. I don’t want things much. I largely take life as it comes.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?

Er....well...Finding Nemo I think.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I was 17 this year. For my Birthday but not on my birthday I went to Oxford for Oxt00b, on my birthday I went and had pizza with some friends. The weekend after my birthday I went up to [ LJ User: folk ]’s house for Mact00bage and sat around whilst people played on laptops. However, Malachan took his top off so it wasn’t entirely a wasted day.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Block finally getting his act together. I know I know I should possibly get mine together first. However I won’t. So he should. Come on Block. *poke poke poke*

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?

Er...as many roll neck jumpers as possible teamed with baggy wrinkly jeans. T-shirts whenever roll neck jumpers became impractical.

34. What kept you sane?

Sane? Nowt. Possibly going to the gym because it was a good good thing to do. Great for self esteem.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Colin Firth. Mr Darcey. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I know Hana will thwap me because he is her literary and movie boyfriend, but Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

Top up fees. That’s discrimination against people who want to study silly subjects.

37. Who did you miss?

I just started to miss people this year. I would kill to live close enough to Hana, Simon and Sophie to 349

occasionally meet them for a cup of coffee and it not be a big deal.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

Er....well...I met almost everyone I talk to now this year. I so the best new people are [ LJ User: hanacandi ], [ LJ User: sjbranford ] and [ LJ User: sofie elisabeth ] because I can talk to all of them about anything and they are all funny and smart and amazing and I love them all to within an inch of my life. I don’t know that I’ve ever met anyone as similar to me as [ LJ User: sofie elisabeth ] is. She is like...me with bigger boobs. Hana is odd. And she’s one of these people that the more you know her and understand her the more amazing she is because...well...you can never know what’s going on in that mind of hers, well...you can. But I am yet to be able to predict how she will react to things. Awesome creature. Very hot in a little red vest top too. *nods*

Simon’s a lovely bloke. Oddly addictive too. I understand him less now than I once did and we seem to be growing slightly apart but It’s been great knowing him this year and I hope I continue to know him next year.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003.

Just take life as it comes along and all will be well. Also, tell people stuff. They like to hear it and you’ll actually like to tell them.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

Nothing is so good it lasts eternally, A perfect situation must go wrong. But this has never yet prevented me, Wanting far to much for far too long. Wasn’t it good?
