2003 Meme of the year
 
Wah. :( Miss last year now. :(

1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before?

All sorts of things. Largely involving acohol, I imagine. 

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Um. I’m pretty sure I didn’t make any. If I did, I’m pretty sure I didn’t keep them. And so I don’t expect to make anymore. 

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Nope. 

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Fortunately, no. 

5. What countries did you visit?

Um, Ireland, Belgium and Scotland. 

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?

Um. More time. More sleep. A driving licence. 

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Um. I dunno. There aren’t really any dates I remember from this year. It’s been highly unimportant, day wise. 

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Um. Probably the C I got in chemistry and the response that I generally got to my CV, including my fabulous job. 

9. What was your biggest failure?

Keeping in touch with everyone I love. I suck at it. Even the people I count as current friends haven’t heard from me in ages. I am really horrible, but the only difference between people that are former friends and the people who are current friends, is that I still think about the current ones. And miss them like crazy. 

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nope. 

11. What was the best thing you bought?

I rather love my Ipod. It’s marvellous at keeping me sane. It also has made me take an interest in music much more than I ever have before. I think it’s wonderful. <33333333 

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

[ LJ User: sofie elisabeth ]. I love her. She’s amazing and manages to live through so much and come out smiling. 

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Michael Howard. FIRE BORIS JOHNSON, WILL YOU????? >:O *shakes fist* 

Him, and well...me. I really do suck. 

14. Where did most of your money go? 

Books, to read on the commute. *pats ever growing pile* Honestly, those few of you who haven’t read ’At Swim Two Boys’, really should. I am half way through and I don’t want it to end. 

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

I don’t do excited. Not really. Me jumping and squeeing in capital letters is not excitement. I’ve been this rather level person inside all year. 

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?

Wah! This year sucks! I haven’t really thought of a song all year. I need a soundtrack. I suspect it might be ’Don’t Stop Me Now’ by Queen, because I descovered how wonderful that song was this year. 

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Sadder. Last year rocked. I can’t help but think about last academic year rather than 2003, but, really, last year was fabulous and I was so happy, really. I’m not miserable now, just...more lonely. 

ii. thinner or fatter?

Fatter. :( 

iii. richer or poorer?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiicher! *pats job* 

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?

Seeing people. I wish I’d seen more people more. This can be evidenced in the fact that it’s over a year since I’ve seen quite a lot of t00bs. *pokes southerners* Go on. Someone who people like has to have a t00bage. We all know that none of you would cross a road to see me, but *pokes t’others* you’re nice. People would come to see you. 

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? 

Refreshing LJ. Chatting online seems almost sociable in comparison. It’s terrible, I tell you. 

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

At my Grans. Hopefully asleep. It’s been ages since I’ve had any time off work and I’m really looking forward to a week of not having to catch a train. 

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?

No. Out of love, lots. In love....I don’t think so. Not really. 

22. How many one-night stands?

Still none. 

23. What was your favorite TV program?

Well...how can you ask me to choose between my friday night loves? ’Have I Got News For You!”, ”QI” and

”Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” all rock my socks from here to eternity. Granted, ”QI” is mostly fabulous as it is a Stephen Fry/Alan Davies love story. <3333333333333. 

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

I hate no one. I don’t see anyone often enough to hate them. 

25. What was the best book you read?

Wah! So many good ones. Um. This year the greatest books I read were ’Fool’s Fate’, ’Pride and Prejudice’, ’Fight Club’, ’Lolita’ and ’At Swim Two Boys’, plus some stuff by Jasper Fforde and Terry Pratchett. How can I chose? 

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Are Rooney not just cool liek whoa? 

27. What did you want and get?

Most things. There’s very little I still want. 

28. What did you want and not get?

I’m not telling you. It sounds soppy. 

29. What was your favorite film of this year?

”Delovely” It tell you it melts you. It had Cole Porter songs, so could never be bad, but it was just so...beautiful. Heh. Now if you watch it you’ll tell me it’s crap, but I loved it to high heaven. 

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I was 18, my birthday sucked. I went to school, I didn’t go visit Sophie because my Dad was ill, everyone else was busy, because I didn’t make plans because I was going to visit Sophie, and everything just kept going wrong. In the end, my bestest friend took pity on me and we went out and had lots and lots of fun because she’s fabulous. 

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Sorting out exactly what didn’t happen with Block. I would just like to know. *shrugs* 

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?

Fashion? Concept? I wore clothes. :D 

33. What kept you sane?

I’ve been kept sane? Yay! Go me! Possibly you lot, but there’s really been very little that has stopped me from being sane. 

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

It disturbs me to high heaven, but...um....Grissom from CSI. 

35. What political issue stirred you the most?

BORIS JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

36. Who did you miss?

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimon! :(( :(( :(( He was such a large part of last year. Where did you go dude? *pokes* 793 

37. Who was the best new person you met?

Um, didn’t meet many new people, but um [ LJ User: mistful ], and [ LJ User: ewacat ] have to rank pretty highly. Um, most of the other people that I met at chat00bage, I had met before, if briefly. But basically, all the chat00bs were cool. 

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:

I’ll give you a piece of advice that my dad gave me, and I don’t know how much sense it makes, but never mind. It makes sense to me. ”Just be comfortable with it.” and it applies to anything. Mostly me though. It just gets me through the wierdest of situations. 

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

I was listening to this yesterday as I was waiting for my friends at the cinema, it just kind of made me go :(. I’ve bolded a bit. I remember my dad saying that to me at one point when we were going to school one day. That also made me go :(( all day.
